This article will teach you how to connect your SparkPost SMTP with ClickFunnels. In this first part, you will
learn to set up the necessary DNS records to make sure your emails send properly. Please make sure to continue to set it up within ClickFunnels at the end of the article.

Why you would need this:

If you wish to use SparkPost as your SMTP provider for sending emails through ClickFunnels, this article will teach you how.

Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:

Important Note: A business email address is required for this setup to work. You cannot use an unbranded email such as Yahoo, Google, Hotmail, etc.

Step 1: Adding a Subdomain to your SparkPost Account

  1. Open your SparkPost Account.
  2. Click Domains from your toolbar at the top of the page.
  3. Click Sending Domains.
  4. Click Add Sending Domain.

  6. Click Save and Continue

  7.  Select Yes to Verify the domain for bounce for strict alignment. Then select Save and Continue.

Important Note: You will need to create a CNAME record and verify this later. You cannot create a CNAME or an A Record. Meaning if your root domain is being utilized, you cannot create a CNAME to verify it. This is why you should use a subdomain in this step.

Step 2: Verifying your Sending/Bounce Domain in Sparkpost

  1. Open your Zone Records Editor (Example given with a Cloudflare purchased domain). Click the Add record button.
