Add Video To ClickFunnels Pages

Learn how to add a video element to your ClickFunnels Classic page using YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, or a custom embed code, and configure settings like autoplay, controls, and sticky scroll.

The video element will allow you to add video content to your ClickFunnels page from a variety of sources, such as YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, and more.

Prior to getting started, you will need the following:

  • Video hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, or other hosts that provide an embed code.

Step 1: Add Video Element

Note: If your Video Host is not listed in the drop-down, you may need to use the Custom Embed Video Type to add the embed code provided by your video host if available. (This option does not apply to Vimeo videos.)

  1. From within your page, click on Add New Element or the "+" below an existing element.

  2. Click on the Video element.

  3. Hover your mouse over the video element and click on the gear icon.

  4. Select your Video Type.

  5. Enter your Video URL from your video host.

  • AutoPlay - Select whether to have the video play automatically when the page loads. (Note: Autoplay does not work on mobile. Modern web browsers, including Google Chrome, restrict the autoplay of videos with sound to improve the user experience. Videos with sound will not autoplay unless the user interacts with the video, while muted videos can autoplay if the embed settings include muted parameters.

Important Note: Sound will not automatically start when your video loads. If you would like to add a sound button for the user to click on, it is recommended that you set up your video settings as shown below:

Enabling Muted Autoplay

To ensure your video autoplays (albeit muted), follow these steps:

  1. Adjust Embed Settings: Use your video hosting provider’s embed options to include autoplay and muted parameters in the embed code. For example, YouTube allows you to set autoplay=1 and mute=1 in the URL parameters. Refer to your hosting provider’s documentation for specific instructions.

  2. Enable Unmute Prompts: In ClickFunnels, set the "unmute label" option to "Yes" in the video element settings. This prompts users to unmute the video when it autoplays.

Modern browser policies block autoplay for videos with sound unless user interaction occurs. To optimize user experience, consider enabling muted autoplay and providing a clear unmute option for users.

Best Practices for Embedded Videos

To optimize the user experience and ensure compatibility across browsers:

  1. Disable Autoplay for Sound: If audio is critical, disable autoplay so users can start the video with sound manually.

  2. Design for User Interaction: Include a prominent play button and a clear call-to-action to encourage users to start playback. This ensures sound will play reliably.

  3. Test Across Browsers: Verify your video’s behavior on different browsers to ensure it meets your expectations and complies with browser policies.
